Through order number 2472 of 30 October, Lucca council has introduced measures to reduce the risk of exceeding daily fine particle pollution limits between 1 November 2026 and 31 March 2027. Subject to specific exceptions, the text regulates biomass burning, the use of certain solid-fuel heating appliances and indoor heating temperatures. Exceptions apply to hilly and mountain areas above 200 metres. The complete order must be read to understand how the restrictions apply.
