Festival security: Perugia investigation also mentions events in Siena
Five people under investigation according to Umbria24: alleged unlicensed services and, for some, irregularities involving public benefits.
Events in Siena also feature in the Perugia public prosecutor’s investigation into security services at festivals and concerts. Enzo Beretta reported this in Umbria24 on 16 September 2026, describing allegations concerning events held between June and September 2025. Five people are under investigation, with different allegations according to their purported roles.
According to the report, three allegedly provided entrance checks, crowd-flow management and supervision of restricted areas at thirteen events without the prefectural licence, presenting themselves to clients as authorised. Two also face allegations of unlawfully carrying objects capable of being used as weapons. Four are accused of improperly receiving public benefits or payments through documentation the prosecution considers untruthful.
A subsequent UmbriaON article covers the case and the reference to Siena. The reports consulted concern provisional allegations, rather than a conviction. They do not identify the Siena event or allow responsibility to be attributed to its organisers. The issue to follow is verification of suppliers’ authorisations, without turning allegations into facts established by a court.
