Siena recognises €1,075 in off-budget legal liabilities

The council’s decision follows four enforceable judgments by the justice of the peace.

At its meeting on 29 October, Siena city council recognised the legitimacy of off-budget liabilities totalling €1,075.16. The amount arises from legal costs relating to four enforceable judgments by the justice of the peace. Presented by councillor Riccardo Pagni, the resolution passed with nineteen votes in favour and eight against. The council says the necessary resources are already available in the budget. This is a limited accounting measure and should not be confused with a different kind of new financial exposure.
