Grosseto council has begun establishing a permanent municipal youth council with advisory and policy proposal functions. Young people aged 16 to 30 may participate individually or through associations and informal groups. The notice sets a deadline of 1pm on 18 November. The council will be able to issue non-binding opinions and propose initiatives with schools, associations and other local organisations. The question to follow is how much practical influence its proposals will have on the council’s planning.
