Certificates for repatriation centres: centre-right questions and Monni’s response

The regional minister reports on health authorities’ cooperation with the judicial authorities.

Health certificates for admission to detention centres for repatriation were discussed in the Regional Council following two questions from Fratelli d’Italia and Forza Italia. The questions referred to an investigation and alleged irregularities, without the debate constituting a finding of responsibility. Regional minister Monia Monni reported that health authorities were cooperating with the judicial authorities and noted inconsistencies in local data. Opposition members called for checks and uniform criteria. Monni defended doctors’ professional independence. Suspected offences remain attributed to the investigation cited, rather than being presented as facts established by a court.
