Mountain municipalities: national and regional classifications for funding

The revised framework is approved, with calls for clarity about eligible areas.

Tuscany has updated its rules for mountain municipalities, incorporating the national classification while retaining a separate list for its own regional policies. The council approved the measure by majority, with Massimiliano Simoni abstaining. Rapporteur Vittorio Salotti cited continuity of funding for associations of municipalities as a reason for urgency. The regional annex also includes partially mountainous and island areas. Centre-right members voted in favour while asking for the effects of the different lists to be distinguished: Alessandro Tomasi called for clear criteria to ensure resources reach the areas facing the greatest difficulties.
