Arpat leadership law amended: opposition abstains

Pay linked to national collective agreements and a 45-day limit on the director general remaining after the term expires.

The Regional Council has approved by majority a further amendment to Arpat’s governing rules, with opposition members abstaining. The measure clarifies senior managers’ pay, linking it to national collective agreements, and defines leave arrangements and continued office after a term expires. For the director general, that interim period is limited to 45 days, with restricted powers. Rapporteur Vittorio Salotti linked the revision to clarification requested by the national Government. Chiara La Porta, Fratelli d’Italia group leader, criticised the repeated legislative corrections concerning senior positions in regional bodies.
