Bergiola: €90,000 for slope stabilisation and drainage

The regional contribution to Massa council concerns an area vulnerable to ground failure.

The Tuscan regional executive has awarded Massa council an extraordinary €90,000 contribution for Bergiola. The works concern stabilising a slope and managing rainwater in an area affected by ground failure. The funding is allocated to 2026 and will be released after the agreement with the council is signed. Toscana Notizie links the intervention to vulnerable connections with outlying villages and the consequences of heavy rainfall. The council will handle design work: the documented step is the regional decision to support the project, rather than completion of the safety improvements.
