The meeting on Florence’s Calamandrei university residence has been moved from 30 October to 5 November. Toscana Notizie attributes the postponement to the grassroots unions’ strike and the resulting difficulty in ensuring that offices could operate fully. The Region says it also considered students’ observations, after they objected to the meeting coinciding with the mobilisation. The forum is intended to address problems at the residence, identify interventions and clarify responsibilities and deadlines. Calling the meeting does not, therefore, amount to approval of an already defined works programme.
