Street lighting: Siena asks CET to compare three proposals

The agreement supports the council’s technical, economic and legal assessment.

Before choosing the future arrangements for public lighting, Siena is commissioning a specialist comparative assessment. On 20 October, the cabinet approved a draft agreement with Società Consortile Energia Toscana to support the authority’s examination of three project finance proposals. The council reports the decision, noting that the technical extension of the existing contract expires on 31 December 2026. The assessment will cover lighting and traffic signal systems, financial sustainability and alignment with the administration’s needs. The resolution therefore does not already identify a winner; it organises the support needed to determine which solutions may be deemed to serve the public interest.
