Le Mimose nursery: new space for children on the waiting list

A one-year trial precedes the integrated education centre planned for 2027–2028.

Follonica council announced that new space funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan would allow children on the Le Mimose nursery waiting list to be admitted from September 2026. During 2026–2027, the building will also accommodate the Via Marche preschool, bringing forward a trial of the future Polo 0–6, scheduled to operate fully in 2027–2028. In its first year the service runs until 1pm, including lunch. Council concessions linked to the ISEE household means assessment and the INPS bonus remain available; the council specifies that Nidi Gratis does not immediately apply to the new places. Clearing the waiting list is the administration’s announced result for applications already submitted, not an unlimited guarantee for later enrolments.
