Budget adjustment: Follonica allocates over €3.7 million to services and investment

The council updates its strategic planning document and public works programme at its 30 July meeting.

Follonica council approved the adjustment to its 2026–2028 budget, the review of financial balance and updates to its plans. The authority reports using more than €3.7 million of accumulated surplus for current expenditure and investment. Projects added to or revised in the works programme include outdoor areas at Rodari and the Polo 0–6, the Bugiani school roof, CCTV and work at the former Ilva site. Deputy mayor Danilo Baietti maintains that the package is financially sustainable. The statement also reports that the review found no off-budget liabilities. Allocating funds is a planning decision: progress on individual works must be checked through the respective procedures.
