Nightlife disruption: extra patrols and Discovillage commitments outside the venue

The council order focuses on patrols, cleaning and managing visitor flows.

Follonica council announced an order to strengthen monitoring in areas affected by nightlife. The locations include Via Sanzio, the area near Discovillage, Palazzetto Armeni, Parco Centrale and the station. Municipal police and other police forces are to coordinate their presence on the busiest evenings. According to the statement, Discovillage’s operator undertakes to strengthen security outside as well as inside, restore the fence along Via Sanzio and contribute to cleaning at the end of the night. Mayor Matteo Buoncristiani acknowledges that the order alone is insufficient and calls for practical cooperation. The text publishes no evidence of results already achieved by the new measures.
