Waste collection centre: cabinet approves agreement with ATO and SEI

The €1.19 million project receives more than €950,000 in ERDF funding.

Follonica’s cabinet approved an agreement with ATO Toscana Sud and SEI Toscana to build the new waste collection centre on Via dell’Industria. The total cost is €1,187,707.27, with €950,165.82 in European Regional Development Fund support. ATO is the funding beneficiary and SEI is responsible for delivery. The council says moving the recycling centre will also free up land linked to the Cittadella del Carnevale project and the partnership with Eurospin. Mayor Buoncristiani thus links an environmental service to urban redevelopment. The agreement marks the start of implementation; the statement does not yet announce the new facility’s public opening.
