Catabbio’s confiscated properties host their first anti-mafia camp

Fifteen young people join the project run by Le sentinelle di Nonno Nino.

Villas confiscated from organised crime in Catabbio, in Semproniano municipality, are hosting an anti-mafia camp for fifteen young people from Tuscany. Devised and organised by Le sentinelle di Nonno Nino, the project provides a week of meetings, workshops and active citizenship. On 4 July the buildings were visited by mayor Luciano Petrucci, provincial vice-president Valentino Bisconti and regional councillor Luca Minucci. The municipality highlights its commitment to restoring a social purpose to confiscated assets. The provincial account documents the initiative’s launch and institutional visit; it offers neither a final assessment of educational results nor information on further editions.
