Aurelia convoy calls for completion of the Tyrrhenian corridor

Local officials, business groups and residents join the Capalbio demonstration.

A vehicle convoy travelled slowly between La Torba, Pescia Fiorentina and Capalbio Scalo to demand completion of the Tyrrhenian corridor. According to the province’s account, participants included local officials, MPs, regional councillors, union representatives and trade associations. MPs Marco Simiani and Fabrizio Rossi were among those present. Provincial president Francesco Limatola called on the government and ANAS to reopen talks and make verifiable commitments on road safety. The institutional account gives no attendance figure. The demonstration documents local political pressure, without establishing that an agreement on financing the project had been reached.
