Province’s 2025–2027 budget prioritises roads and bridges

A majority approves the accounts and the consolidated planning document.

At its meeting on 24 January, the provincial council approved the 2025–2027 budget and consolidated planning document by a majority. The province announced €25 million for major road network maintenance, around half earmarked for bridges. It confirmed that the Cosap charge would not apply during the three-year period. President Francesco Limatola linked the budget to reorganising current spending and providing technical support to municipalities. Projects cited include the landslide on the Pitigliano–Santa Fiora provincial road and roundabouts. Approval concerns resource planning and does not mean the listed works have been completed.
