Cultural foundations and the agency model: Giani and Zoppini debate governance

The president favours more direct relations with the Region; Fratelli d’Italia raises autonomy.

The organisational model of Toscana Spettacolo and Sistema Toscana was debated in the chamber following a question from Matteo Zoppini. President Eugenio Giani defended the move to a regional agency model, arguing that the predominance of public funding favours more direct relationships, consistent with those of other bodies. Zoppini of Fratelli d’Italia challenged this interpretation and raised doubts about the process, the bodies’ autonomy and the opposition’s role. The debate concerns governance of organisations providing services for the Region. The source is the council record, which reports both positions.
