Lucca–Aulla: Region calls urgent meeting after further rail disruption

Rail operators, local authorities and commuter representatives are expected in November.

Disruption on the Lucca–Aulla line has prompted the Region to announce urgent talks in early November. President Eugenio Giani and regional minister Filippo Boni describe recurring problems over at least a month and previous formal complaints to the Ministry and Trenitalia. The meeting is intended to bring together Rfi, the train operator, local authorities and commuter representatives. Toscana Notizie documents the regional executive’s demand for answers, with particular attention to students and Garfagnana residents. The statement does not yet set out an agreed solution or the outcome of the announced talks.
