Reception and housing: Livorno launches work towards the new regional White Paper
Local authorities and third-sector organisations contribute proposals on inclusion of people with migrant backgrounds.
Livorno hosts the first local stage of work towards the new White Paper on reception and inclusion promoted by councillor Alessandra Nardini. The event at the Aquarium, announced for 14 October, addresses the reception system, unaccompanied foreign minors, independence and the right to housing. The Region is working with Anci Toscana and the regional social observatory, involving institutions, services, associations and social partners. Toscana Notizie describes a participatory process spanning four stages and several areas of public policy. Its purpose is to gather proposals: it does not in itself approve new housing measures or funding.
