Arezzo rail line: commuter forum calls for Figline–Rovezzano upgrade

Boni proposes a new timetable and infrastructure improvements; first Etr108 trains expected in November.

A new rail timetable and a request to upgrade the Figline–Rovezzano section emerged as priorities at the Arezzo line forum in San Giovanni Valdarno. Administrations, commuter committees, consumer associations, Rfi and Trenitalia attended. Councillor Filippo Boni links the difficulties to regional and high-speed traffic sharing tracks and proposes a new Memorario timetable. According to Toscana Notizie, the first two of six Etr108 trains allocated to Tuscany are expected in service by the first half of November. The infrastructure upgrade remains a request to be put to the Government and Rfi.
