Prato’s section of the Ciclovia del Sole has been inaugurated following works that began in March 2024. The 11.3-kilometre route connects the boundaries with Montemurlo and Campi Bisenzio, largely following the Bisenzio river. Prato council delivered the regionally promoted scheme, also linking existing cycle paths. Toscana Notizie reports total investment of around €3.33 million, combining PNRR funding, national contributions and municipal resources. The scheme forms part of the Eurovelo7 cycling corridor; the regional administration also presents it as infrastructure for everyday journeys across the Piana.
