Waste collection: three more underground stations join Siena’s programme
The PNRR-funded project brings operating stations to four out of eight planned.
Siena’s waste collection reorganisation is progressing with three new underground stations. The 9 April announcement scheduled via Peruzzi, porta Tufi and porta San Marco to come into operation on 11 April, joining viale Fruschelli. This brings the total to four of the eight planned facilities. The source links the work to around €1 million in PNRR funding and collaboration between Ato Toscana Sud, Sei Toscana and the council. The other stations were listed as piazza Amendola, viale Vittorio Emanuele, viale Don Minzoni and porta Pispini, with their phased activation still to be completed.
