Villa Rubini Manenti: €1 million feasibility plan for safety and refurbishment

Work is planned at the council-owned residential home for older people.

The Villa Rubini Manenti residential home for older people has entered Siena council’s extraordinary maintenance programme. On 20 October, the cabinet approved the technical and economic feasibility of a €1 million project proposed by councillor Massimo Bianchini. The official statement identifies a need for functional refurbishment and seismic improvements at the historic building in Vicolo degli Umiliati. The project also responds to problems identified by vulnerability assessments of the structure. The stated aim is to improve conditions for residents and staff: the decision belongs to the design stage and does not announce completed works.
