Montalbuccio and Belcaro: €100,000 detailed design to address landslides

The works concern road verges damaged by exceptional rainfall in October 2024.

Damage from 2024 returned to Siena’s cabinet with a detailed design for two road sections. On 20 October, the administration approved €100,000 of work on Strada di Montalbuccio and Strada di Terrensano e Belcaro. According to the council, landslides affecting the verges were caused by the weather events of 17 and 18 October 2024. Councillor Massimo Bianchini’s proposal covers repairs and consolidation to improve road safety. Prepared by council engineers, the project records detailed approval of the works without certifying that construction has already been completed.
