Ravacciano and Busseto: roughly €700,000 project for green space and paths
The cabinet approves feasibility plans for regeneration between Porta Ovile and Porta Pispini.
New pedestrian connections and restoration of green spaces feature in the project for the Ravacciano valley and Busseto woodland. On 20 October, Siena’s cabinet approved technical and economic feasibility plans for approximately €700,000 of work, proposed by deputy mayor Michele Capitani. According to the council, the plans include a pavement from the San Francesco car park towards Porta Pispini and restoration of two abandoned structures in the woodland. Funding is linked to the Cohesion project and the national Bando Periferie programme. This is a planning and design stage; it does not amount to opening or handing over the routes.
