Renewal of Piazza del Campo’s water network is entering the final section announced by Acquedotto del Fiora. The statement published by the council on 22 October describes investment of more than €60,000 to lay 35 metres of cast-iron pipe between Via Duprè and the Casato, rebuild inspection chambers and renew connections. The operator explains that the project was divided into phases to accommodate activities in the square. An initial water supply interruption was scheduled for 26 October from 8.30am to 1pm. This report documents the start of this last phase, rather than certifying completion of the entire project.
