Restricted traffic zones and pedestrian areas: cabinet approves a mobility trial

New delivery and access rules will be monitored ahead of the urban traffic plan.

Follonica’s cabinet approved a trial changing restricted traffic zones and pedestrian areas. In Pratoranieri, delivery windows on Viale Italia are revised to 6–9am and 2–4pm. Sections of Via Martiri di Niccioleta and Via Giacomelli are to become pedestrian areas, subject to authorised exceptions. The project also includes short-stay parking in Piazza XXV Aprile and a loading space on Via Trento. Councillor Sandro Marrini announced monitoring to assess the effects before final decisions are made. When the statement was issued, activation dates for the individual measures had yet to be announced, pending completion of signage.
