Rodari and new early years centre: Follonica opens both school buildings

The council puts investment at around €2.55 million and €3.7 million respectively.

Follonica inaugurated the refurbished Rodari primary school and the new building for the Polo 0–6 early years centre. The council reports completing the fittings, furniture and equipment needed to welcome children and pupils for the 2026–2027 school year. Work at Rodari began in March 2024, with investment of around €2.55 million. The new early years building required approximately €3.7 million, with construction starting in November 2023. Mayor Matteo Buoncristiani presents the projects as investment in services for families. The statement distinguishes refurbishment of the school from construction of the new early years facility.
