Grosseto province ordered the overnight closure of regional road 74 Maremmana at kilometre 30+500, near Manciano, from 8pm on 10 April until completion of the works expected the following morning. The closure was needed to remove part of the old deck over the Pontelungo stream. During reconstruction, traffic was to use the new bridge under alternating one-way arrangements without weight restrictions. Alternative routes for the closure night used the Sant’Andrea, Aquilaia and Scansanese provincial roads, staffed by provincial personnel and volunteers.
