€880,000 works begin at Ponte Mussolini

Side barriers are being replaced, with alternating one-way traffic on the Spadino road.

Work has begun to replace the steel parapets on Ponte Mussolini and nearby viaducts along provincial road 154 Spadino. Grosseto province puts the total investment at €880,000 and the expected duration at around two months. Alternating one-way traffic, controlled by staff and traffic lights, has been introduced on affected sections. The authority says it chose the school holiday period to limit disruption. Drivers were advised to use other approaches to the city at peak times. This archive report covers the start of work in June 2025; the statement does not document its subsequent completion date.
