Regional industrial crisis committee established: 31 votes for and one against

La Porta criticises the timing; Bezzini points to work towards a shared position.

The Regional Council has established a committee on deindustrialisation and crises in Tuscany’s production system. The resolution passed with 31 votes in favour and the sole opposing vote of Marco Stella of Forza Italia, whose request for postponement was rejected. The committee will develop practical proposals for the executive and work with standing committees. An interim report is due within thirty months of its establishment. Chiara La Porta of Fratelli d’Italia criticised the delay in setting it up; Simone Bezzini of the Pd referred to the discussions needed to achieve an agreed position and a qualified majority.
