Piombino: procedure opens for Mvn–Baker Hughes project land

The port notice covers more than 200,000 square metres; the concession follows a public process.

A notice has been published at Piombino port for a concession over two areas totalling more than 200,000 square metres, following an application by Mvn, an MSC group subsidiary. Toscana Notizie reports president Giani’s support for the proposed industrial and logistics platform connected with Baker Hughes. The Region describes the project as an expansion of activities in Tuscany, additional to the Avenza site. The administrative stage remains decisive: a concession notice does not mean that the development is already in place. Employment benefits cited by Giani are project prospects, rather than confirmed recruitment.
