Carers: council asks about implementation as 311 new cases open in 2025

Monni presents helpline figures. Tomasi calls for greater awareness of services.

Regional measures for people caring for a family member were the subject of a question from opposition spokesperson Alessandro Tomasi. Regional minister Monia Monni reported that the regional listening service had opened 311 new cases in 2025, compared with 217 in 2024, and conducted 695 consultations with users. She explained that the information system needed to evaluate the law was still being designed. Tomasi sought a debate on the legislation’s practical effects, considering the number of cases low relative to the population of carers and calling for wider publicity. The debate thus distinguishes the existence of a service from assessment of its reach.
