Pisa Airport opens new arrivals terminal: testing comes before operation
Around 7,100 square metres of new space in the Galilei expansion programme.
The new arrivals terminal at Galileo Galilei Airport has been inaugurated, marking the first stage of a wider expansion programme. Toscana Notizie describes around 7,100 square metres of space and a 300 kW photovoltaic installation. The source specifies that the ribbon-cutting must be followed by the tests required before the terminal can enter service. National and local institutional representatives and Toscana Aeroporti executives attended the ceremony. President Giani reiterated his view that Pisa and Florence airports should complement one another: this is a position on regional airport strategy, distinct from the technical steps still required for the terminal.
