Tuscany’s executive has approved an agreement with Cavriglia for an exceptional €6.8 million contribution to the regeneration of Castelnuovo d’Avane. The resources supplement the €20 million in PNRR funding already allocated to the village and finance completion of utility infrastructure, internal roads, pedestrian routes, communal areas and a panoramic terrace. Payments are spread across 2026, 2027 and 2028. The overall project includes affordable rental homes, businesses, services, training and museum restoration. In the regional account, the aim is to bring permanent life back to the village, distinguishing planned occupancy from repopulation already achieved.
